About Duke on Demand
You’ll find some of the best videos from across Duke University – interesting speakers, lively events and more – on this Duke on Demand website.
You can search the videos by topic or use the “New Videos” tab to see the latest videos posted by different Duke schools and offices. You also can track upcoming live webcasts under the “Live Events” column. Duke on Demand gives you the option of viewing the videos directly on its site or on other sites where they appear, such as YouTube, Ustream and BigThink.
Duke's Office of News and Communications (ONC) produces the site and organizes its content in collaboration with Duke’s Office of Information Technology (OIT), which provides technical expertise and support.
Different Duke schools and units will continue to upload their videos to sites such as iTunes U and YouTube. Duke on Demand pulls publicly accessible videos from those sites via RSS feeds. The Office of News and Communications then reviews the videos and organizes them into easily searchable categories. The RSS feeds are refreshed multiple times a day, so a video posted by a Duke unit to iTunes U or YouTube will usually be posted to Duke on Demand as well within one business day.
Do you have a question about posting a video to iTunes U or YouTube at Duke? Check out our Video Guide : Video Guide
Users can submit Duke-related video to the site. ONC reviews all material before posting it and reserves the right to remove content deemed inappropriate. It also reserves the right to delete comments that are off-topic or abusive, and it does not allow messages that sell products or promote commercial ventures.
Posted comments do not necessarily reflect the opinions or policies of Duke University.
Duke on Demand logos are available for departments and organizations to post on their websites. This link immediately downloads the file called logos.zip (both the vertical and horizontal versions are in the zip file).
